Bank Holiday Breaks
Enjoy a bank holiday weekend in Dublin, a city that is full of life day and night – there is a lot to see and do.
There are nine bank holidays in Ireland, giving you plenty of opportunities to explore our vibrant capital city. It could not be easier to visit Dublin with a large number of airlines including budget carriers flying into the city, not to mention the ferry and rail options. Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane is easy to reach, just 25 minutes from the airport, walking distance to Connolly train station and close to Dublin port.
Dublin’s Coastal Towns
Along the Dublin coastline there are some beautiful towns and villages stretching from Howth on the north side to Dalkey on the south side. Each of them can be reached by the Dart rail service, Pearse Street station is just a few minutes’ walk from Cardiff Lane. Why not spend an afternoon wandering around and indulge in water based activities or embrace the beautiful scenery.
Wakeboarding in the City
Less than a four minute walk from the hotel, visitors can find Wakedock. Wakedock is Ireland’s first cable wakedock park located in Grand Canal Square. Essentially here you can learn to wakeboard without a boat but you are still on water. The team offer a variety of sessions for adults and children. Plus, they’ll also cater for groups if you are looking for something different for a hen or stag party. All of the equipment is provided, we recommend you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Dublin City Attractions
If you would prefer to stay on land, why not see everything that the city has to offer on one of the many city bus tours. The tours stop off or near the main Dublin attractions including Trinity College, Temple Bar, Dublin Castle, Guinness Storehouse, Kilmainham Gaol, Dublin Zoo and James Distillery to name some.
Eat & Drink
Enjoy a meander back along the river Liffey from the city centre to Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane. Dine in the restaurant or treat yourself to room service. Stop off in the bar and enjoy a craft beer, cocktail or glass of wine. Sleep soundly in your bedroom and enjoy a Vitality breakfast the next morning before setting off on more adventures.LESS INFORMATION
